The Attica Regional Governor, Nikos Chardalias, was found in the Municipality of Pallini as part of his visits to all the municipalities of the Basin.

During his visit, he had an extensive work meeting with Mayor Christos Aidoni, where the course and design of infrastructure and urban redevelopment projects were funded by Attica’s own resources, with a total budget of 25,000,000 euros.

Among them are included:

* The construction of a sewage network in the Leontari area (Kantzas): It is a vital infrastructure project, as it is expected to permanently solve the chronic environmental and operational problem facing thousands of residents in the area. The implementation of the project, with a budget of EUR 18 million, will upgrade at the same time hygiene and public health conditions.

* The redevelopment of the historic center of Pallini: This is a project totaling 5.5 million euros, aimed at redesigning and upgrading the daily lives of residents and visitors. Includes, among other things, the complete rebuilding of sidewalks, the creation of new public spaces and hiking trails, the placement of urban equipment, modern lighting and new tree planting, with an emphasis on functionality and aesthetic upgrading of public space. According to the timetable, it is expected to be completed by June 2027.

* Additional infrastructure and urban regeneration projects, which have been prioritized by the Municipal Authority for the areas of Pallini, Gerakas and Anthousa.

As Attica Regional Governor Nikos Chardalias pointed out at the end of the meeting: “Every day we are judged in the field, by our fellow citizens who live and work in difficult conditions. People are tired of promises and announcements. He asks for projects, consistency and results. In Pallini, through close cooperation with the Municipal Authority, we provide solutions to chronic pending issues and formulate the new development footprint of the area. The task of redevelopment of the historic center is in the ripening stage and we will be ready, in 2027, to hand it out to citizens. “

At the same time, Mr. Chardalias referred to the need to reinforce Primary Health Care in East Attica, saying: “There was a first debate on the prospect of integrating the Pallini Health Center in the network of urban health centers under construction. We seek, in cooperation with the state, to strengthen primary health with such centers in a number of basin areas. “

For his part, Mayor Pallini, Christos Aidonis, emphasized that: “It is a pleasure and honor to welcome the Attica Regional Governor Mr. Chardalia in our city. His presence is not only symbolic – he is essential and marks the principle of important acts that we will implement in the near future. We believe in cooperation, we believe in his face, and we know that he has the willingness, knowledge and determination to do projects and actions. We are and will be a helper in his efforts. “

After the meeting, Mr. Chardalias traveled to the center of Pallini and Gerakas, accompanied by the mayor and executives of the Region and the Municipality.
