Brazilian retailers plummeted at least 26 positions in the ranking of the 250 largest companies in the sector in the world prepared by Deloitte.
Among the four Brazilians on the list, only Magazine Luiza rose to the top (195th). Via (196th), Lojas Americanas (247th) and RaiaDrogasil (in second to last place) had a drop in revenue compared to the previous year.
According to Deloitte, retailers that increased their revenue in the pandemic focused on e-commerce.
The minimum revenue to be in the 25th edition of the Top 250 was US$ 4.1 billion. All together they add up to US$ 5.1 trillion.
Americans Walmart, Amazon and Costco follow at the top.
