Share prices registered a significant recovery in today’s Stock Exchange session, after yesterday’s strong decline, with the market moving above 1,440 points, amid an upward movement of the European markets.

The General Price Index closed at 1,443.74 points, marking an increase of 1.34%.

Intra-sessionally it recorded a higher price at 1,445.93 units (+1.49%).

The value of transactions amounted to 116.67 million euros, while 22,642,283 shares were traded.

The large-cap index rose 1.49%, while the mid-cap index gained 1.11%.

Of the large capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of OPAP (+4.06%), Piraeus (+3.76%), Alpha Bank (+2.60%) Lamda Development (+2.10) %), EYDAP (+2.05%) and Mytileneos (+1.97%).

Conversely, Viohalco (-0.94%), Quest Participations (-0.74%) and ELPE (-0.42%) shares fell.

The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Piraeus, trading 5,151,253 and 4,642,453 shares, respectively.

The highest value of transactions was recorded by Nthniki with 18.79 million euros and Piraeus with 17.07 million euros.

72 stocks moved up, 33 fell and 11 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Euroconsultants +4.58% and MIG +4.42%.

The biggest drop was recorded by the shares: Moda Bango -7.22% and Flexopack -4.94%.
