The first place was won by Qatar Airways, based on the aviation rating company Skytrax
Singapore Airlines is no longer the world’s best airline, with Qatar Airways taking first place, according to aviation rating firm Skytrax.
According to Qatar Airways, it is the eighth time it has been ranked number one since 2011. It is recalled that last year the airline was in second place, in which – based on this year’s ranking – was Singapore Airlines. In third place, one place higher than last year, was Emirates.
In the top-10 of airlines Asian companies dominate, while there are no American ones.
The first American participation is found in the 21st position of the list, which is occupied by Delta Air Lines (having lost one position compared to the previous year).
The ranking is based on a survey of airline customers in more than 100 countries.
This year’s winner, Qatar Airways, also won the title of the best “business class” as well as the leading airline in the Middle East, while the second-ranked Singapore Airlines took the title of the company with the best crew and the best “first class” and was also named the best airline in Asia.
Among low-cost airlines, Malaysia’s AirAsia took first place, while for long-haul travel, Singapore’s Scoot took first place.
