Hockey goalkeeper and executive; meet Shivon Zilis, mother of Elon Musk’s 12th child

by

Economist Shivon Zilis rose to prominence after it was revealed that she gave birth to Elon Musk’s 12th child. The executive began her career at IBM and Bloomberg, where she worked on internal startups. She then became director of operations and special projects at Neuralink, a startup founded by Musk in 2017.

The company is trying to build a brain-computer interface that would help people with traumatic injuries operate electronics with the power of thought.

Zilis has a lot of experience with Artificial Intelligence, as in 2016 he worked on the administrative board of OpenAI, founded by Musk. This was the company that launched ChatGPT.

In the following years, he also worked at Tesla in the intelligence area. According to the website Business Insider, the mother of three children with Musk grew up in Ontario, Canada, and was also an ice hockey goalkeeper for the Yale University team in the United States, where she graduated in 2008 in economics and philosophy.

Zilis is also a fan of extreme sports such as zip lining and ice climbing.

BIRTH OF THE 12TH CHILD

Businessman Elon Musk shared that his wife, Shivon Zilis, gave birth again earlier this year, but did not reveal the child’s name or gender. The baby is the billionaire’s 12th child.

The birth was kept secret by Musk and ended up being revealed after several speculations in the North American press. The birth became public on Friday (21), via Bloomberg.

Soon after, the owner of X (formerly Twitter) refuted the information in an interview with the website Page Six. He said that releasing a statement about the birth of the child would be “bizarre” and that his and the economist’s entire family were aware of the pregnancy.

Musk and Zilis were already parents to Strider and Azure, born in 2021. The twins arrived just a month before the billionaire and singer Grimes, his ex-wife, had Exa Dark Siderael generated by a surrogate mother. The two are also parents to 4-year-old X (born X AE A-12), who the mogul was seen with at this year’s Super Bowl.

Musk’s other heirs are the twins Griffin and Vivian and the triplets Kai, Saxon and Damian, the result of his relationship with his ex-wife Justine Musk. The ex-couple’s eldest son, Nevada, died suddenly ten weeks after being born.
