The wholesale price of electricity in Greece increased by more than 70% since Sunday – How prices are formed
The wholesale price of electricity has skyrocketed.
According to the data, our country is “not in a good situation” and in particular the hourly price of electricity is 219.28 euros per MWh. That price is up more than 70% since Sunday. In Bulgaria the price is 229.24 euros per MWh. Romania has exactly the same price. These are countries that are “connected” to the specific problem. In Hungary, there is a restoration of the problems of the previous days and that is why it seems to have fallen to 120.45 euros MWh. However, this price is also increased from Sunday.
In Central Europe and specifically in Italy the price is at 115.84 euros MWh, while in Germany it is much lower at 91.23 euros MWh, Spain is a little below 80 euros, France is at 57 euros and further north it is cheaper.
