Idomed, the new business arm created to house the medical area of the higher education giant Yduqs (formerly Estácio), is preparing to expand in the south of the country.
The company is going to increase from 50 to 150 the number of annual vacancies in the undergraduate medical course at Faculdade Estácio de Jaraguá do Sul, in Santa Catarina.
The authorization was granted by the Ministry of Education last week.
The unit in the municipality of Santa Catarina currently has around 200 students, according to the company.
The goal in the medium term, says Yduqs, is to double the level of 7,000 students that Idomed currently has in its courses in the country.
