The war in Ukraine boosted interest in films about the country invaded by Russia.
The series “Chernobyl”, which tells the story of the biggest nuclear accident in the world, reached the 4th place among the ten most watched titles on HBO Max this week.
Released in 2019, the series describes the sequence of events after the accident that happened in 1986 in the former Soviet Union, next to the Ukrainian city of Pripiat.
Last week, the Russians took over the region of the Chernobyl power plant, established a corridor for military and armored personnel from Belarus.
