More from 20 major Russian industrial companies, among which companies in the construction sector and the automotive industry, as well as home appliance companies, sent a letter to the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Anton Alikhanov, stating that threatened with bankruptcy and to stop their operation, due to the inability to buy abroad the necessary raw materials of critical importance, even in the so-called friendly countries.

As the publishing group RBC writes, the cause of these concerns is the 14th package of sanctions in a row imposed by the European Union on Russia due to the war in Ukraine (decided on June 24, 2024), due to which the supplies of important materials from the USA, Europe, Japan and, lately, from China have stopped.

These are mainly raw materials, used in the production of refrigerators, auto parts, pipes, assembly foams, sealants and flooring. The letter states that in this case the Russian economy is one hundred percent dependent on imports.

In their letter, the companies claim that their stockpiles currently only last two months, while agreements with suppliers to help circumvent sanctions, particularly with Saudi Arabia, have not yet been made possible.
