The disembarkation of Henrique Meirelles from the João Doria government was left for later.
Meirelles had announced that he would leave the Secretary of Finance and Planning of the State of São Paulo at the end of February to continue with his plan to run for the Senate for Goiás.
He would be ahead of the deadline by one month in relation to the date of dissolution of public office established by the electoral legislation. However, February ended, and he decided to remain in the post until the end of March.
Vice Rodrigo Garcia, who will take over the state government when Doria leaves to run for president, has not yet been able to find someone to replace the former minister and former president of the Central Bank.
