Panel SA: Procon-SP will have help from a volunteer to expand conciliation

by

Procon-SP will start working with the help of voluntary conciliators who will work in the composition of agreements between consumers and suppliers, carrying out remote or in-person hearings.

The agency selected 60 people from more than 700 interested candidates who applied for the vacancies.

According to Procon, they will have a daily allowance of R$ 190 to act up to four days a month in eight hearings per journey.

Fernando Capez, executive director of Procon-SP, says that the body intends to improve remuneration conditions.

The conciliators will receive the documents and should start working on the work by the end of this month.

Today, the agency has only five servers who work in conciliations, but are divided with other service activities. The arrival of the volunteers should allow for nearly 1,000 hearings per month, compared to around 200 currently.

The conciliation has the potential to reduce the consequence of fines and conflicts between consumers and suppliers, according to the body.
