The Ukrainian-Brazilian Central Representation asked the president of the Legislative Assembly of SP, deputy Carlão Pignatari (PSDB), to revoke the mandate of Arthur do Val (Podemos).
The entity brings together civil and religious organizations representing 600,000 Brazilians of Ukrainian descent.
“Deputy Arthur do Val has revealed himself to be a person of a dangerous nature for the exercise of public functions where it is always necessary to deal with women in situations of vulnerability”, says the entity in the document.
The Ukrainian representation also wants Pignatari to ask international law enforcement authorities for an investigation into the possible sexual exploitation of vulnerable women affected by the war.
The sexist audios attributed to Arthur do Val say that Ukrainian women are “easy because they are poor” and that the refugee queue has more beautiful women than the “best club in Brazil”.
The deputy and another leader of the MBL (Movimento Brasil Livre) announced a trip to Ukraine to help in the war, in a movement against the neutrality of President Jair Bolsonaro (PL). Arthut do Val released a photo in which he said he was making Molotov cocktails.
