The nominal value of corporate loans under management fell to €22.788 billion at the end of the second quarter of 2024, from €22.903 billion at the end of the previous quarter
The value of “red” loans managed by Loan and Credit Claims Management Companies (EDADP) decreased by 277 million euros in the second quarter of 2024, to 69.77 billion euros, compared to 70,045 million euros in the previous quarter.
According to data from the Bank of Greece, the nominal value of business loans under management decreased to 22.788 billion euros at the end of the second quarter of 2024, from 22.903 billion euros at the end of the previous quarter. In more detail, the nominal value of loans to non-financial enterprises (NFEs) decreased by 115 million euros and amounted to 22.750 billion euros at the end of the second quarter of 2024. Of the loans under management to NFEs, an amount of 11.156 billion. euros concerns loans to small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
The nominal value of loans under management to other financial institutions remained unchanged at 38 million euros at the end of the second quarter of 2024.
The nominal value of loans under management to self-employed professionals, farmers and sole proprietorships decreased by €99 million compared to the previous quarter and stood at €9.097 billion at the end of the second quarter of 2024.
The nominal value of loans under management to individuals and private non-profit institutions decreased by 63 million euros compared to the previous quarter and amounted to 37,883 billion euros at the end of the second quarter of 2024. More specifically, consumer loans under management showed a decrease by 29 million euros and amounted to 15.637 billion euros. Mortgage loans under management showed a decrease of 36 million euros and amounted to 21.956 billion euros.
