The Minister of Development, Takis Theodorikakos, visited the Industrial Park of Alexandroupoli, he took a tour of the facilities and talked to businessmen and the employees of the companies.

In his statements, the minister stated the following:We support with all our strength Alexandroupoli and the island of Evros as well as all of Thrace. Projects to upgrade the industrial area in Alexandroupolis worth 5 million euros are being carried out, half of which are financed by money from the Ministry of Development, through the Recovery Fund.

At the same time, however, there is an absolute need to improve the infrastructure even more and we are determined to make all the necessary changes to the development law in order to give much stronger additional incentives to businesses to invest here in the Alexandroupoli industrial park and to create many new quality jobs.

Because our main goal is for the young people in Evros to stay in our homeland, in the beautiful region of Greece on our borders in Evros. And the message I want to send is that the greatest security for the future and outlook of this place can be brought by the industrial development for which we are working hard with all our strength.

We have brilliant minds, we have very important potential and what we will do here in Evros is to create serious new jobs that will keep the productive core and the young children here. This is the message I want to send. In the coming days, the Prime Minister of the country, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, will also be here, in order to give the most comprehensive impression of the Government on the region».

As noted in an announcement by the Ministry of Development, the goal is for the region to attract more investors, to create new and well-paid jobs and, of course, for young men and women to stay in their place.

Mr. Theodorikakos, who was accompanied by the MPs of Evros of New Democracy, Stavros Keletsis and Anastasios Dimoshakis and by the president of ETVA, Thanos Psathas, also visited the sausage company “THRAKIS GEFSEIS”, the lubricants company Dynamic Kote Lubricants, Prisma Electronics which provides technological solutions for companies and organizations, while he also visited the facilities of the company “THRACIS MILLS”.
