School registrations for the “Virtual Business 2025” student competition of Junior Achievement Greece, aimed at students from 15 to 21 years old, have begun.

The “Virtual Business – JA Company Program” program has been implemented for 20 years with the approval of the Ministry of Education and Religion and Sports and for the sixth consecutive school year it is under the auspices of the President of the Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou.

Registrations for JA Greece’s free business education, digital skills and professional orientation programs will be done through the organization’s official website www.jagreece.org. All students, teachers and volunteers/advisors who will participate will receive a certificate of participation from Junior Achievement Greece.

2025 is a special year for JA Greece as it celebrates 20 years in Greece and organizes for the first time the pan-European final “JA Europe/GEN-E 2025” in Athens on 1-3 July 2025.

The educational programs of JA Greece for 2024-2025 are as follows:

  • Program – Global Student Competition

“Virtual Business – JA Company Program 2024-25” & V Company

(3rd High School to 3rd High School – EPAS). The interested school declares participation, creates a student group, which “establishes” its own “start-up” with a real product. The team presents its product at the student trade fairs of JA Greece in Athens and Thessaloniki, submits the business plan and claims awards in Greece and Europe. The groups are supported by the teachers who undertake the program, volunteers/business executives, while Inspirational Mentors are appointed in many schools. V-Company, based on the “Virtual Business” program, is aimed at vocational education and adult students of Vocational Schools (VET).

  • Program – Nationwide Competition “Company Junior 2024-25”

(Vth Primary to 3rd High School – Skills Workshops). This is an entrepreneurship training program designed for 11-15 year olds. It is based on the logic and methodology of the educational program “Virtual Business” and is adapted for these ages as well as the schedule of the Skills Workshops. The program is developed around a group experiential activity, in which students think of a smart business idea, create a draft of a student “virtual business” and submit it for evaluation. The three best business ideas are selected by a JA Greece jury and awarded.

  • “My Career” Career Orientation Program

(3rd Gymnasium to 3rd High School). It is an online educational program that utilizes new technologies and aims to provide information and career guidance on careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). Students take a career interest test and then have the opportunity to discuss the test results with career counselors. The program is available in schools in the Greek region so that students in hard-to-reach schools have the opportunity to discover their inclinations. Participation in the program is declared by group registration by the teacher.

  • Apps 101 Lab

(B’ Gymnasium up to B’ Lyceum). It is a two-day online workshop for students aged 14-17 from all over Greece, who are interested in acquiring basic knowledge on entrepreneurship, design and application development, without needing programming knowledge. It aims to inspire students to pursue careers in technology, innovation and business, encouraging them to develop their entrepreneurial spirit, experiment and turn their ideas into reality.

  • Girls Go Circular

(3rd Gymnasium to 3rd High School). Its aim is to support female students and more broadly all students, aged 14 to 18, in developing their digital and leadership skills while learning about the circular economy and finding solutions for a sustainable future. The training methodology is based on the experiential learning approach, which engages students in different activities such as internet research, business role-plays and exercise-based challenges.

  • I dream wisely

(Vth Primary to 1st High School – Skills Workshops). The program is implemented entirely online. Students navigate the stations of an interactive whiteboard, collect information, answer self-assessment questions and play games using the knowledge they have acquired to familiarize themselves with the concepts of entrepreneurship, foresight and safety.

  • Training on harnessing AI for agri-food: DDTI Action in Food

JA Greece participates in the European program “DTTI Action in Food”, together with nine other national Junior Achievements of Europe. Through an innovative AI readiness training program (with two tracks, Code & Non-Code) it aims to empower 500 students aged 16-20 years in vocational education and higher education in the fields of Agri-Food and ICT by training and certifying teachers in AI skills.
