THE Vice President of the Association of Gas Station Owners and Traders, George Asmatoglou, he told SKAI and the show “Unmatched” did not rule out the possibility that gasoline could even reach 2.5 euros on the mainland.
Already in the island country the price of gasoline is a breath before 2.5 euros with typical examples in Ikaria, where the price is recorded at 2.36 euros and Kythira at 2.38 euros.
“If you look on a daily basis, the increases that are made in the refined product, are 10 to 12 minutes per two days of unleaded gasoline and much more than diesel and heating oil. That is why, at the moment, diesel, which affects products and services, transported goods as energy costs, has reached 2 euros in large urban centers “, Mr. Asmatoglou explained.
He sounded the alarm saying that if no intervention is made, we will see immobilized cars “as we see empty tanks in the heating oil at the moment”. He added that citizens buy small quantities of heating oil just to spend 5 or 10 days of snow.
