Share prices recorded slight downward trends in today’s Stock Exchange session, while the volume of transactions fluctuated at lower levels, the value of which fell below 100 million euros.
The market corrected, after four bullish sessions during which the main stock index posted a total of 2.27% gains.
At the center of interest were the shares of Attica Bank, the trading of which was temporarily suspended after the explosive increase in its price by 3,716.79%, as the trading limits of the share were free.
According to an announcement from the FSA to stockbrokers, the reason for the temporary suspension of trading was that the stockbrokers would have the necessary time to inform their clients about the sharp and large increase in the share price.
Today, trading of the bank’s shares started again, after the reverse split with a ratio of 100:1. The stock opened trading at an adjusted price of €0.5240 and was at €20 when trading was suspended.
Finally, the share price closed at 7.02 euros with an increase of 1,239.69%, trading 1,485 pieces.
The General Price Index closed at 1,438.72 points, down 0.34%.
The value of transactions amounted to 84.98 million euros, while 17,177,652 shares were traded.
The large-cap index fell 0.47%, while the mid-cap index gained 0.17%.
Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of PPC (+0.58%), Piraeus (+0.21%) and EYDAP (+0.18%).
On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of Eurobank (-2.33%), Lamda Development (-1.88%) and Alpha Bank (-1.80%).
Alpha bank and Ethniki presented the largest volume of transactions, trading 3,762,893 and 2,889,913 shares, respectively.
The highest value of transactions was recorded by National with 21.55 million euros and Piraeus with 10.47 million euros.
42 stocks moved up, 63 fell and 19 remained stable.
The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Attica bank +1,239.69% and Progressive +9.57%.
The biggest drop was registered by the shares: Leventeris (p) -11.63% and Bitros (k) -9.56%.
