Harmonized inflation in Greece increased to 3.2% in October, from 3.1% a month earlier, according to Eurostat’s preliminary data. In the Eurozone inflation rose to 2% from 1.7% in September with food inflation at 2.9% and services at 3.9%.

In the individual components of inflation in the euro area, services were the biggest contributors at an annual rate of 3.9% in October (stable compared to September) followed by food, alcohol, tobacco at 2.9% (vs. 2.4 % in September).

Non-energy industrial goods saw their prices increase by 0.5% (versus 0.4% in September) and while energy fell by 4.6% (versus -6.1% in September).
