Penalties for late or incorrect tax declarations are provided for in the new tax law submitted for public consultation
Fines from 20,000 to 50,000 euros to banks, servicers, private schools and listed companies that delay or send incorrect data for the completion of tax returns are provided for in the tax bill which was submitted for public consultation.
The bill includes all the measures announced by the prime minister at the TIF, among which the reduction of insurance contributions by one percentage point from January, the three-year exemption from income tax for closed properties and those transferred from short-term leases to long-term and also the payment of a Christmas allowance of 243 million euros to 1.9 million citizens.
The same bill also provides for a fine of at least 20,000 to those property owners who do not comply from January 1, 2025 with the suspension of the sale of new homes in the first, second and third municipal district of Athens for short-term leases.
The fine will be half of the income obtained from the property and not less than 20,000 euros.
