Downward trends were registered by stock prices in today’s session of the Stock Exchange, with the market retreating towards the levels of 1,400 units.

The General Price Index closed at 1,403.87 points, down 0.96%.

On a weekly basis, the main stock market index registered a drop of 0.66%, while since the beginning of the year it has increased by 8.56%.

The value of transactions amounted to 129.73 million. euros, while 34,477,144 shares were traded.

The large-cap index fell 0.94% while the mid-cap index fell 0.77%.

Of the large capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Lamda Development (+1.94%), OTE (+0.81%), GEK (+0.34%) and OPAP (+0. 33%).

On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of Sarantis (-3.69%), Ellaktor (-3.18%), Elvalhalcor (-2.68%), PPA (-2.62%), Autohellas (-2.62%) and PPC (-2.43%).

The largest volume of transactions was presented by Eurobank and Alpha Bank, trading 13,904,411 and 7,286,435 shares, respectively.

The highest transaction value was recorded by Eurobank with 27.35 million. euros and the National with 23.60 million euro.

34 stocks moved up, 60 fell and 25 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Progressive +9.77% and Attica Publications +8.67%.

The biggest drop was recorded by the shares: Attica Bank -29.87% and MIG -4.90%.
