Panel SA: Demand for telemedicine for mental health continues to rise in 2022

by

The demand for telemedicine to take care of mental health remains high in the country, even with the resumption of the movement of people and face-to-face calls from all services in the pandemic.

In the Dasa network, it rose 97% in the comparison of the first two months of this year with the same period last year.

For Leonardo Vedolin, director general of medical and integrated care at Dasa, the modality is confirmed as a complementary tool.

Grupo Conexa, an independent telemedicine platform, says that it started psychiatry services in 2021, when it had about 67,000 consultations. This year, until last Friday (11), it held more than 19,000.

Doctoralia, a digital platform, also claims to have registered an escalation in the search for specialties since the first year of the pandemic.
