The acquisition of 75% of it was completed candy making Lavdas SA from the historical chocolate industry ION SA.

It is noted that ION, with a history of 94 years, was also active in the candy sector from 1930 up to 2016placing on the market products under the names BALOO and O’MAMY.

Lavdas, which has been active since 1953 in the field of candy making, is one of the most strong players in the domestic markethaving developed an expanded portfolio with popular products such as Jelly Pop, Eclair, Charleston, Geneva, Ageladitsa, Lavdas, Chrysi Galaktos, Piccolo, Gum On!, while a great recent success is the creation of the Zero product. At the same time, it has penetrated the markets of Europe, the USA, Asia and the Arab states, where it directs more than 50% of its products.

According to a related announcement, the acquisition is an important milestone in the strategy of the two companies, with the aim of strengthening and developing them in the markets they operate in and creating additional value for employees, partners and consumers.
