Falling trends were registered by stock prices in today’s session of the Stock Exchange, in the midst of a retreat in the European markets as well.

Banking stocks were at the center of liquidations, with investors pricing in the measures announced for the banking sector.

The General Price Index closed at 1,464.48 points, down 0.33%.

Intra-session recorded a lower price at 1,458.26 points (-0.75%).

The value of transactions amounted to 118.36 million. euros, while 29,541,515 shares were traded.

The large-cap index fell 0.44%, while the mid-cap index gained 0.36%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Ellactor (+2.47%), ELPE (+2.37%) and Sarantis (+0.74%).

On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of Ethniki (-1.66%), OPAP (-1.38%), Piraeus (-1.22%) and EYDAP (-1.19%).

Eurobank and Alpha Bank presented the largest volume of transactions, trading 8,320,916 and 6,672,227 shares, respectively.

The highest value of transactions was recorded by Nthniki with 25.70 million. euros and Eurobank with 18.29 million euro.

46 stocks moved up, 48 down and 25 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Vioter +7.14% and Ktima Lazaridis +6.11%.

The biggest drop was recorded by the shares: Mouzakis(k) -3.97% and Medicon -3.23%.
