Central Bank: 13.9 million have less than 1 real in receivables; learn how to see the value

by

Most Brazilians entitled to receivables that are being released by the Central Bank since last week have up to 1 real, according to data released by the monetary authority. In all, 13.9 million will withdraw just a few cents.

The Values Receivable System started releasing, this Monday (14), the second batch of money forgotten in banks and financial institutions born between 1968 and 1983. Companies opened in this period may also be entitled. In all, only 1,358 Brazilians will have values above R$ 100 thousand.

The redemption of the money is made on the day and at the time set by the BC. To find out how much you are entitled to and transfer the amount, you need to access the website valorareceber.bcb.gov.br. The first batch was released between March 7th and 14th. The second runs until Friday (18).

Those who miss the deadline can try the repechage on Saturday (19). Next Monday (21), it is the turn of those born after 1983 to know how much they will receive and have access to the money.

For more than two months, Brazilians have been waiting to find out how much they have forgotten in banks and financial institutions. The expectation was to receive a small “fortune”, but the reality is that most are entitled to a few cents, which has become a joke on the internet.

In all, according to the Central Bank, more than 32 million withdrawals can be made from valid CPFs in the country. The amount released to individuals is around R$ 3.3 billion. 27.3 million CPFs are benefited. There are still 2 million CNPJs benefited, totaling around R$ 4 billion released.

The monetary authority explains that there are more withdrawals than beneficiaries because there are workers or companies that have amounts receivable in more than one financial institution and for different reasons. As a result, there is more than one redemption in the same CPF or CNPJ.
