The fuel subsidy amounts were announced earlier by the Minister of Finance, Christos Staikouras, following the announcements of the Prime Minister about the support measures.
Owners of diesel vehicles will take a “double breath” in April. The pump is expected to see a price reduction of 15 cents per liter, as this amount will be paid by the state budget.
At the same time, if they meet the criterion of family income of 30,000 euros, they will be able to use the digital check of 30-50 euros depending on whether they own a motorcycle or car and if they live in mainland Greece or the island.
In addition, according to competent sources, those who receive the digital “check” of 30-50 euros for the subsidy for the purchase of gasoline, can use it from the beginning of April until the end of June even in a filling. In other words, to pay a “scarf” – if it comes out – with the subsidy from their digital wallet.
The subsidy of 30-50 euros on fuel is clarified that also applies to LPG.
As Christos Staikouras said, taxable persons are tax residents, tax residents of Greece with a declared income of up to 30,000 euros.
• They will receive a subsidy of 60 liters per month at 22 cents per liter
• Especially for the citizens who live on islands the subsidy reaches 27 cents per liter
• Diesel is subsidized so that the benefit for the consumer is at 15 cents per liter.
• Taxis are given an increase of 200 euros per month for April
Specifying the measures, the Deputy Minister of Finance, Theodoros Skylakakis, explained that the subsidy will be given in the form of an electronic card (in the standards of freedom pass) which can be used at gas stations, while for those who can not use a mobile phone, the amount will be deposited in a bank account of their choice. Only one vehicle (not stationary) per beneficiary will be declared to gov.gr.
Fuel card: A fuel subsidy (unleaded and diesel) is issued in April to cover the increased costs of three months’ consumption (April, May and June) for individuals (including freelancers), with the following characteristics:

• The subsidy will be given in the form of an electronic card (in the standards of freedom pass) which can be used at gas stations, while for our fellow citizens who can not use a smartphone, the amount will be deposited in a bank account of their choice.
• In order to give the aid, the natural person will declare on a relevant platform in gov.gr the vehicle for which he receives the aid and on which he must have a percentage of co-ownership or a long-term lease contract.
• Each vehicle can be declared by only one natural person and each natural person can declare only one vehicle. Prerequisite for the vehicle to be in circulation and to be insured.
• The subsidy (for car) is 60 liters of fuel per month and is equal to 22 cents per liter. Therefore the subsidy for the three months amounts to 40 euros.
• Especially for citizens who have a main residence in an island area, the subsidy for the three months amounts to 50 euros (subsidy 28 cents per liter).
• For motorcycle owners the subsidy amounts to 30 euros in mainland and 35 euros in island area.
