Panel SA: Willingness of Americans to Have Babies Grows and Encourages Retail

by

Retail companies in the United States are excited by the prospect of a “millennial baby boom,” a surge in the baby products market that could boost sales in the post-pandemic rebound.

A Bank of America survey of about a thousand people in the country shows that Americans are more willing to have children.

In the October edition of the monthly survey, 11% of respondents said they are expecting a child or are going to try to have a child in the next 12 months.

It was the highest level since the beginning of the survey, in December 2020.

The projection of more weddings and home shopping also excites retailers.
