One of the traditional names in the corporate events calendar, HSM Expo is held in person again in December, but with a third of the public.
About 2,000 people a day are expected at the Transamérica Expo Center, in São Paulo. The number of tickets was reduced because of the pandemic, but the experience will serve as a test to evaluate a new proposal for the event. It will be more interactive than in previous years to keep up with new demands from the public, according to Reynaldo Gama, president of HSM and SingularityU Brazil.
In this edition, there will also be debates with experts on topics related to the pandemic, artificial intelligence, medical cannabis and telemedicine.
Gama says that the organization of events has entered another level. One of the challenges of the current scenario, according to him, is to identify the relevant discussions for the moment, and not just guarantee the exclusivity of the speakers — as many started speaking at online events and producing internet content in the pandemic.
He also claims that the number of companies promoting their own events has grown, which has increased competition in the segment.
The logistics of international travel and the possibility for the speaker to test positive for Covid on the eve of the events, in addition to the exchange rate and the price of airline tickets, should also impact the value of the fee from now on, says Gama.
For the 21st edition of HSM Expo, more than 90% of tickets, which cost R$ 5,999 for the three days, have already been sold, according to the organization. Last year, the event was online and free for more than 50,000 subscribers.
