On Friday (12), Citroën presented plans to quadruple its share of the Brazilian market in four years. As part of the strategy, the brand has announced that it will launch three new products, including the new C3 already unveiled. The other two models have not yet been confirmed.
Out of that list, Ë-Jumpy arrives later this year. It is an electric van that Citroën presents as the “first chapter in the electrification of the brand in the country”, that is, other electric vans will come to Brazil.
In Europe, the Ë-Jumpy is sold in battery versions with 50 kWh (200 km autonomy) or 75 kWh (300 km). The motor is always the 100 kW and load capacity to 1,275 kg.
Quadrupling sales, for the brand that only sells the C4 Cactus in Brazil, in addition to its commercial line, means reaching 4% of the share of sales.
Now, under the umbrella of the Stellantis group, which also owns brands such as Fiat and Jeep, Citroën should bet on SUVs to also double its market share in Argentina, reaching 7%, and surpass the 3% share in Chile.
In addition to the Porto Real (RJ) plant, the brand produces vehicles in El Palomar, Argentina. From these two units, the other two products should come out for the next four years.
