The stock prices closed with a slight retreat, as they covered most of the initial losses, exceeding 1%. The market has fallen amid a negative climate in European markets, in the wake of US President Donald Trump’s threats to impose tariffs on European products.

The General Price Index closed at 1,597.85 points, down 0.14%. Intra-conference recorded lower price at 1,581.01 points (-1.20%).

The value of the transactions amounted to EUR 157.78 million, with 30,784,264 shares.

The high capitalization index fell 0.14%, while the mid -capitalization index fell 0.59%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the shares of Ethniki (+1.89%), OTE (+1.66%), GEK TERNA (+1.20%) and PPC (+1.17%) were the highest.

On the other hand, the biggest decline was the shares of Jumbo (-2.60%), EYDAP (-1.85%), Mytileneos (-1.79%), Titan (-1.58%) and Optima (-1.53%).

Piraeus and Alpha Bank showed the largest volume of trading with 7,578,520 and 6,681,614 shares, respectively.

Piraeus scored the highest value of trading with EUR 34.26 million and National with EUR 31.44 million.

32 shares went up, 74 declining and 18 remained stable.

The shares rose the most: Xyloromia (Π) (+9.73%) and Mediterra (+8.45%).

The biggest decline was recorded by Beitros (-9.76%) and Lanakam (-5.00%).
