In households integrated into the Social Housing Invoice (CTO), the aid amounts to 3.5 minutes/kWh – at 140.5 €/MWh or the ‘green’ of ‘green’
The Ministry of Environment and Energy Announces today, Thursday, March 6, 2025, the amount of extraordinary support to electricity accountsconcerning consumption of March.
Specifically, the aid for electricity in home invoices and for all main and non -main residence benefits, without income criteria and regardless of provider, are shaped as follows:
• For monthly consumption up to 500kWh, the aid is 15 €/MWh or 1.5 minutes/kWh. This category occupies 90% of households in Greece.
It is noted that the aid relate to consumers who are affiliated with floating electricity invoices.
• In households integrated into the Social Housing Invoice (CTO), the aid is 35 €/MWh or 3.5 minutes/kWh for the total consumption.
The total cost of aid for March amounts to € 22.3 million.
It should be noted that the average of the “green invoice” for the three largest market share providers in the low voltage (over 80% of household consumption), including the March subsidy, amounts to 140.5 €/MWh or 14.05 minutes/kWh and is maintained at the level of the previous three months.
It is also emphasized that the average wholesale, pan -European, in the past five months is increasing. In October 2024 it was 82.74 €/MWh, in November 2024 at 112.18 €/MWh, in December 2024 at 107.61 €/MWh, in January 2025 at 112.03 €/MWh and in February 2025 at 126.36 €/MWh. As far as the current month is concerned, the average wholesale price, pan -European, has so far stood at 89.47 €/MWh. A fact that demonstrates the decline in prices, expected in the coming period.
Consequently, despite the increases observed in the wholesale electricity markets of the EU in recent months, domestic retail prices continue to be maintained, at a constant level, for consumers.
