by

Brown-Forman, a US-based company that owns beverage brands such as Finlandia vodka and Jack Daniels, also suspended its business activities in Russia in response to the war in Ukraine.

In a statement, the company said it was joining the global call for peace. “In the face of the war in Ukraine, we are suspending commercial operations in Russia,” he said.

The owner of Jack Daniels also said that she has started donations to UNICEF, UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees) and International Medical Corps, organizations that have been helping children and refugees, offering medical assistance.

“We are watching in horror as millions of Ukrainians face the grim reality of war. Our thoughts are with them and all those who are surrounded by fear and uncertainty, displaced and seeking refuge, suffering and seeking peace, or grieving, missing your loved ones,” the company said in a statement.

More than 80 companies have left Russia since the start of the conflict.
