1. From the increases of indicators by:

Part of this increase was offset by the decrease mainly of prices in: cheeses, olive oil.
- 1.2% in the “alcoholic beverages and tobacco” group, mainly due to increased prices in alcoholic beverages (non -served).
- 3.6% in the “clothing and footwear” group, due to rising prices in clothing and footwear.
- 5.9% in the “Housing” group, due to increased prices in: Home rentals, home repair and maintenance, home -related services, electricity, gas. Part of this increase was offset by the decrease mainly of prices in: Heating oil, solid fuels.
- 1.6% in the “Health” group, mainly due to price rates in: medicinal products, medical products, medical, dental and paramedical services, hospital care.
- 2.1% in the Communications Group, due to the increase of prices in the telephone services.
- 0.9% in the “Recreation- Cultural Activities” group, mainly due to prices in: small recreation- flowers- pets, recreational and cultural services, newspapers- books and stationery, holiday package. Part of this increase was offset by the reduction of prices mainly in: audio and image processing equipment, constant recreation and culture goods.
- 2.6% in the Education Group, mainly due to prices in: Preschool and Primary Education tuition, secondary education tuition.
- 6% in the “Hotels-Cafe-Restaurants” group, mainly raising prices in: restaurants- pastry shops- cafes- canteens, hotels-motel-inns.
- 2.2% in the “Other Goods and Services” group, mainly due to prices increase in: Hairdressers and Personal Care Stores, other personal items, social protection services, health premiums, vehicle premiums, other services. Part of this increase was offset by the reduction of prices mainly in other types of individual care.
2. From the reductions of indicators by:
- 1.6% in the “Transport” group, due to a decrease in prices in: used cars, fuels and lubricants. Part of this reduction was offset by the increase in prices mainly in: new cars, maintenance and repair of personal transport equipment, other personal transport services, plane passenger transport tickets.
At the same time, the General Index increased 1.4% in March 2025 compared to February 2025, compared to an increase of 1.5% in the corresponding comparison of the previous year.
Concerning harmonized inflation, it increased 3.1% in March this year compared to the corresponding March 2024 index, compared to 3.4% in the corresponding comparison in 2024 to 2023.
