Digital platform that will give citizens direct and simplified access to housing options, is activated until June by the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family. Through it, interested parties will be able to search for home through 40 housing policy programs. In essence, each citizen, using this application, will be able to identify what home he can find and in what area, depending on his financial data.

If something is needed right now, the market in the “shadow” of the housing crisis is to enhance real estate availability. In this context, – among other things – the stock that is currently available to both the public and individuals.

What is the philosophy of the new platform

Thus, one of the interventions adopted by the Government Staff is the “integration” of all housing policies on a platform so that each citizen can derive holistic information.

The programs included in the new digital housing platform exceeds 40 and their total budget of € 6.5 billion.

In this way, the Government estimates that every citizen will gain equal and easy access to information and housing available and for the first time in all areas of the country, regardless of whether it is a rental or purchase plan or if there is a need for renovation. There will be targeting with geographical and population criteria in order to highlight the real problem that the housing causes.

Which programs will enter the platform

The basic programs included on the roof platform are as follows:

1. Housing loans.
2. Pensioners’ shared roofs – Elderly stay.
3. Rental subsidy.
4. “Housing and Working for All” programs.
5. “Renovation – Rental” programs.
6. Program “My House” and “House in Your Hands”.
7. Upgrading my house.
8. Incentives for leases.
9. Support of civil servants in municipalities and areas with a strong housing deficit.
10. Motivation for the North and Central Evros rehabilitation.
11. Portal subsidy rental.
12. Reduce the rates of home ownership below 34% by increasing housing supply on the market, with targeted geographical interventions.
13. Start of a new action to subsidize the construction of student halls.
14. Expanding student halls through PPP.
15. Recording the Public Property Stock (Article 90 of Law 5162/2024).
16. Developing actions for leasing available apartments and houses on the market.
17. Recaling and energy upgrading of empty real estate for leasing with social criteria.
18. Students for housing with private rent.
19. Support of students with an increase of 30% of mortgage funds.
20. Income tax exemption for real estate leases for young people up to 40 years, from 8.9.2024 onwards.
21. Further restriction on short -term leases in areas where there is housing pressure.
22. Reduction of ENFIA by 50% for apartments that will be leased to young people up to 40 years of age or new families.
