The Customs Services of the Independent Public Revenue Authority continue intensive controls at airports, ports and land borders across the country, with remarkable successes in the battle against smuggling and illegal distribution of products.
The use of new digital media, x ray radiation machinery and specially trained dog detectors, targeted actions are being carried out to tackle the illegal trafficking of cash, tobacco, alcoholic beverages, drugs, counterfeit products and energy products.
Indicatively, the Customs Auditors of AADE in the first quarter of 2025 seized in total:
- 779,310 euros, $ 142,535, $ ​​25,000 Australia, 920 Sekel Israel, 6,915 Leva Bulgaria, Turkey £ 849,015, Pounds 9,000, 97,000 Dinars of Serbia, 11,050 NMK Dinos, 1,550,000 Dinos Iraqi, 129,000 Iraq. 29,250 Ukraine Cribna, checks worth 37,316 euros, checks worth 4,779,261 pounds of Turkey, 39 gold pounds worth 113,258 euros and 1 gold rod
