The approval of the temporary results of the evaluation of the proposals submitted under the call for the “Internationalization of the Educational Services of HEIs” in the context of the project: “Universities of Excellence”, in the recovery and resilience fund “Greece 2.0” was announced by the Ministry of Education.

According to the provisional ratings of applications, 63 proposals are approved for funding for joint postgraduate programs (Joint Master or Dual Master) with distinguished foreign universities, out of a total of 132 proposals submitted and evaluated by the National Higher Education Authority. The total budget of approved proposals amounts to EUR 81 million (80.958.186.71) of which EUR 70 million (EUR 69.998.972.56) relates to the contribution of EUR 11 million (EUR 10.959.214.15) to the VAT of the Public Claim.

Proposals submitted for the creation of educational programs enriched with new, special items that are not currently available by Greek HEIs, as evidenced by temporary tables exceeded any expectations.

For this reason, the Minister of Education, Religions and Sports, Sofia Zacharakis, followed by the strategic choice of her predecessor and the current Minister of National Economy and Finance, Kyriakou Pierrakakis to enhance the extroversion of the Greek Universities, and after the decision of the Greek Universities. The “Internationalization of Educational Services of HEIs” aims to push the extroversion of Greek universities through the strengthening of their cooperation with established, well -known prestigious university institutions abroad. In particular, it aims to strengthen Greek Higher Education Institutions seeking to organize joint postgraduate programs (Joint Master or Dual Master) with distinguished foreign universities. Common Postgraduate Programs should be innovative, not already provided by Social ensemble (with or without tuition fees) ensuring fair and equal access and equal opportunities for all postgraduate students.
