Brussels negotiators are ready to accept a 10%duty duty rate, as the German newspaper Handelsblatt reported on Monday, citing maximum sources from the Commission in order to prevent any higher duties.

Citing high -ranking EU negotiators, the newspaper clarifies that offering to its US counterparts will only be made under certain conditions and will not be considered permanent.

Handelsblatt also reported that The EU was ready, in return, to reduce its duties on vehicles manufactured in the US And it may change technical or legal obstacles to facilitate American manufacturers from selling their cars in Europe.

The EU has also been offered to completely ban Russian gas markets, possibly creating more demand for US producers.

The European Commission did not immediately respond to a request for commentary.

The EU’s position is partly from the realization that US President Donald Trump will be based on certain duties to finance the scheduled tax cuts.

However, US negotiators have not so far agreed to limit their import duties to EU cars to 10%, the newspaper added.
