Caixa Econômica Federal started this Monday (28) to release microcredit to individuals and MEIs (individual microentrepreneurs), said the bank’s president, Pedro Guimarães.
For individuals, the loan ranges from R$300 to R$1,000, and can be paid within 24 months, with rates starting at 1.95% per month. The request must be made exclusively by Caixa Tem.
For MEIs, microcredit ranges from R$1,500 to R$3,000, with a term of up to 24 months to pay and fees from 1.99% per month. For now, this public can only apply for the loan at branches.
According to the president of Caixa, Pedro Guimarães, credit can be released even for negative people and MEIs. However, the loan is subject to approval, which must be issued within ten days of the request.
In the personal loan line, the credit has a free destination and can be used for personal expenses and debt payments. In business credit, the money borrowed must be invested in the business itself, such as payment of suppliers and water, electricity, internet and rent bills, in addition to the purchase of raw materials and goods to resell, among other purposes.
HOW TO REQUEST CREDIT BY CAIXA TEM
- Download or update the Caixa Tem app, available for Android and iOS
- Update your application registration
- Click on the option “Credit Cash Has”
- Choose “Contract Caixa Tem credit”
- Indicate how you will use the loan
- Simulate the loan, choosing the amount of the installments
For those who do not yet have digital savings, the opening can be done on the spot, through the app, without fees. After that, just apply for the loan.
Previously, the bank had a credit access calendar, which authorized contracting according to the birthday month. In December, Caixa opened the loan request to any customers who already have a Caixa Tem account.
Personal loans can be paid in a minimum of 1 installment and a maximum of 24 installments. Loan for companies can be paid off in at least 4 installments and a maximum of 24 installments.
Registration must be updated
To get the values, the customer needs to update the registration. The analysis for the release is only done after this update. The measure is necessary to change the type of account that the worker has today and be able to take out the loan. According to Caixa, it is necessary to transform the Caixa Tem digital social savings account into a Caixa Digital Savings Account.
With this, the monthly movement limit of R$ 5,000 ceases to exist and the consumer is able to access credit lines. The procedure takes seven minutes and is done directly in Caixa Tem, in the option “Update your registration”. For this, you must inform address, profession, income and assets, if any.
The president of Caixa said this Monday that there are 109 million accounts opened in Caixa Tem, and that 8.8 million users have already updated their registration.
It will also be necessary to send a photo of an identification document (RG or CNH) and a selfie photo with the document in hand. The selfie must be taken in a bright place, without glasses and without a hat.
Caixa launched the new credit on September 27. At the time, the bank released estimates that the new type of loan has the potential to reach around 100 million customers.
CONSIGNED TO BRAZIL AID HAS NOT YET BEEN RELEASED
Pedro Guimarães confirmed that Auxílio Brasil beneficiaries will be able to contract payroll loans that commit up to 40% of the benefit per month. But the release of the loan for this group still depends on regulation by the Ministry of Citizenship, responsible for the program.
“[A regulamentação] means giving maximum limits on terms, interest rates, the qualification of institutions, that is, which banks will effectively operate”, said the president of Caixa.
The consigned credit for those who receive Auxílio Brasil is part of the Income and Opportunity Program, a package of economic measures launched by the federal government for the election year.
The program also includes the anticipation of the 13th anniversary of INSS retirees and pensioners for April and May and the early withdrawal of the FGTS (Fundo de Garantia do Tempo de Serviço).
