A total of 419 unemployed have been recruited in new jobs through the new DBA employment action implemented in the framework of the Integrated Action Plan for the fair development transition (DAM) of Western Macedonia and Megalopolis (and neighboring Municipalities of Tripoli, Ochalia).

The new “Special Business Grant Program for the Employment of Unemployed, Former Business Employees affected by Western Macedonia and Megalopolis, a total budget of € 10.7 million, a total budget of € 10.7 million, a total budget of € 10.7 million. unemployed.

The grant duration is 12 months and ranges from 70% of salary and contributions to common unemployed (829.50 € monthly, € 9,954 in total) to 100% for the unemployed who fall under the definition of DAM (€ 1,185 monthly, € 14,220 in total), ie any period of time: Supporting lignite mining activities, conventional electricity production activities, etc.) and transformed sectors (indicative: electricity distribution and marketing activities).

In the last five years, DBA, as a member of the DAM Coordinating Committee, has implemented a number of employment and training actions in Western Macedonia, significantly enhancing the labor market and society. Specifically, over 16,300 unemployed found work through DBA employment programs, of which 61% women, 51% young (up to 29 years) and 37% long -term unemployed. In addition, 21,228 unemployed and employees participated in training activities, of which 68% women and 21% young.

The action is co -financed by the European Union’s fair transition fund and by national participation with the total co -financed public spending amounting to EUR 10,726,800.00.
