The Independent Public Revenue Authority further facilitates the procedure for a VAT and key to minors, extending their digital publication to children over 12 years of age who do not have a police ID.
This extension is a continuation of the Authority’s actions for automatic VAT ID performance to minors and facilitates significant parents and guardians, in cases where the VAT ID, automatically, has not been possible due to the non -identification of the parental relationship, based on the available data. In these cases, it is now possible to issue a VAT ID, which is the basis of the personal number, so that the identity can then be issued for these minors, as the personal number has now become mandatory for issuing identity.
It is recalled that AADE had advanced, in 2023, to automatic tax return to minors over 12 years old, while last November they automatically received more than 710,000 minors to 12 years old, as well as minors over 12 years old who had not already.
The following are highlighted for the new procedure:
• It concerns minors over 12 years of age, residents of Greek nationality who do not have a police ID, as long as they have not already received a tax ID.
• The request shall be submitted by the legal representative or authorized by him, by submitting a birth or family certificate instead of the identity card and any other necessary supporting documents (A. 1185/2023).
• The request is made through the Myaade Digital Gate (myaade.gov.gr), to the VAT & Key.
