The Ministry of Rural Development and Food, in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance, is modifying the JMD to strengthen the breeders, totaling € 63 million, incorporating the beneficiaries who lost livestock farmers in the field of beneficiaries in 2024.
Based on the new regulation, producers whose livestock was killed after July 2024 and had previously imposed restrictive measures (enclosure), they would receive proportionally reinforcement for the period that the animals remained alive. This provision covers the costs of feeds that had been carried out before the loss of animal capital, ensuring that support is directed to truly laid producers.
Aid amounts are normally valid, reaching up to 14 euros per animal for the most affected areas, depending on the regional unit. The new provisions stipulate that 14 euros are also received by farmers in the Corinthian, Fthiotida and Boeotia Regional Units.
It is recalled that the compensation for feed is linked to the productive activity of holdings, as reflected by milk delivery in 2024, ensuring that support reaches where there is a real need.
This decision is further supported by support for the livestock industry. The state continues to be next to the people of production, ensuring that no one really washed out of support measures.
