The deadline for submitting applications for support applications in the context of the invitation of P3-73-1.1 “Infrastructure Projects”-Action 2: “Termination and Irrigation Networks” of the Strategic Plan 2027 (2027) is extended by Friday 10 October 2025 at 23:59.

The decision (No. 230742/29-08-2025) was taken after cooperation with the Minister of Rural Development & Food, Kostas Tsiara, with the Secretary General of Union Resources and Infrastructure, Argiro Zerva.

The budget of the invitation (public expenditure) is € 169,000,000 and is co -financed by the European Agricultural Fund of Rural Development and Greece.

The purpose of the intervention is to enhance the efficiency in the use of water in agriculture, through tensioning projects, modernization of irrigation networks and resource saving systems.

Beneficiaries of the invitation are:

  • Ministry of Rural Development & Food, General Directorate of Rural Development, Department of Land Improvements and soil Resources.
  • Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, General Directorate of Hydraulics, Port and Building Infrastructure, Directorate of Flood Professional and Land Registry.
  • Regions (competent services that are responsible, in accordance with national law, for the design and training of the program of the relevant projects).

In the context of the invitation, projects are funded:

– Modernization of existing irrigation networks, as well as their relevant supporting infrastructure.

– Renovation and replacement of electromechanical equipment.

– Water -fashion projects and concomitant irrigation networks.

– Energy saving projects in irrigation.

– Supply and installation of telemetry and precision agriculture systems.

– Use of recycled water.

– Projects of artificial groundwater enrichment in a network renovation by drilling.

The intervention applies to rural areas across the country.

  • The minimum budget of the application for support is set for EUR 5,000,000.00 (including VAT).
  • The maximum budget of the application for an operation is set for EUR 105,000,000.00 (including VAT).

It should be noted that applications for support submitting electronically through the Integrated Information System of Common Agricultural Policy (Opscap), accompanied by the required supporting documents.
