“After coming out of a period of austerity measures and memoranda, we needed the tools that could really work to help our small and medium-sized businesses – even the largest ones – survive, grow, and have a bright future.” He noted this in his post on as part of the Growing Together development initiative event the Minister of Development and Investment, Adonis Georgiades.

The Minister noted at the event of the Hellenic Development Bank and the French Development Bank, that “the last two years have been very important for the optimization of all our efforts, in order to make the life of Greek citizens as easy and as good as possible for them. in difficult times “. He added that “During this period of the coronavirus and after coming out of a period of austerity measures and memoranda, we needed the tools that could really work to help our small and medium-sized enterprises – even the largest ones – survive, grow, to have a bright future “.

He also stressed that “We have managed to help thousands of businesses, we have managed to save thousands of jobs and we have managed to keep our economy in a better position than many predicted when this crisis started. And these very bad years, which unfortunately seem to be coming, because we must be realistic, the consequences of the invasion of Ukraine will not end soon and will affect the lives of all of us. And it is our responsibility as Europeans to find a way to help society stand on its own two feet in this new crisis. What we are doing today is something we should do more often, because it is a way of showing the rest of the European Union that cooperation between states can offer a better future. Ultimately, this is why the European Union was founded to help people, to have peace, prosperity and a common future. “And I am very proud of all the agreements that have been signed here, today, between the member states of the European Union, among which Greece participates with the Hellenic Development Bank.”.

The minister referred in particular to the agreement between her Hellenic Development Bank and DEPA for the White Dragon project. “Under these new conditions with the Ukrainian war ahead of us, hydrogen technologies seem to be more important and critical than we once thought they were.” said the minister and added: “It is our responsibility to make it faster and safer to ensure the storage of renewable energy in order to give it to the citizens as much as they need it. So I think this agreement that you made today is very important and it is a program that I personally and very strongly support. We have put the IPCIs for hydrogen on the list and in the list of the European Union and we believe that it will be a very big investment in the region of Western Macedonia, where we have all these funds and the digitization program “.
