The flow of visitors in malls grew in February, but the average value purchased in stores did not follow, according to data from Abrasce (Brazilian Association of Shopping Centers).
The average ticket was BRL 118.44 in the month, below the BRL 120.85 registered in February last year. The amount is calculated by dividing the total revenue by the number of sales for the period.
The drop comes at a time when the flow of visitors to malls grew by more than 24% compared to the same month in 2021.
For Glauco Humai, president of Abrasce, the movement of resumption in sales expected by malls in 2022 should be gradual and continuous.
