The conclusions are part of a survey released this Thursday (7) by the CNT (National Confederation of Transport).
According to the entity, 87.5% of those interviewed have an opinion contrary to the pricing policy practiced by Petrobras.
Only 3.9% are in favor of the strategy followed by the state-owned company. Another 6% are indifferent to the subject, and 2.6% do not know or did not respond.
The survey also indicated that 82.3% of businessmen cited diesel prices as one of the biggest difficulties in operating their businesses. It is the highest percentage of responses among the obstacles mentioned by the sector.
Then come the tax burden (56.5%), the difficulty of readjusting the value of freight (40.1%) and the bureaucracy in the operation of services (28%).

The rise in fuel prices in Brazil has become a recurring theme for demonstrations by political and business leaders.
Petrobras’ current pricing policy, which involves diesel, takes into account the variation of oil in the international market and the behavior of the exchange rate.
Throughout the pandemic, fuels had a strong advance in Brazil. With the economic effects of the war between Russia and Ukraine, gasoline, diesel and cooking gas rose again in March.
At the time, Petrobras confirmed a mega-increase in refineries. Diesel rose 24.9% at the time.
The famine bothers President Jair Bolsonaro (PL), who is expected to seek re-election in 2022 and fears the impacts of the electorate’s loss of purchasing power.
A Datafolha survey indicated that 68% of Brazilians blame the government for the rise in fuel prices.
In recent months, Bolsonaro has been critical of Petrobras and has decided to fire the company’s president, General Joaquim Silva e Luna.
Initially, the government appointed economist Adriano Pires, current director of the CBIE (Brazilian Center for Infrastructure), as his replacement. However, he declined the invitation, amid debate over a possible conflict of interest.
Pressured to find a new alternative, the government nominated José Mauro Ferreira Coelho on Wednesday (6th) to preside over Petrobras.
Coelho is chairman of the Board of Directors of the state-owned PPSA (Pré-Sal Petróleo SA) and was in quarantine, after having resigned, in October last year, from the position of secretary of Oil, Gas and Biofuels of the MME (Ministry of Mines and Energy).
as showed the sheetthe market’s expectation is that the new president will maintain Petrobras’ commercial policy.
According to data from the IPCA (Extended National Consumer Price Index), diesel fuel accumulated inflation of 40.54% in the 12 months through February.
According to analysts, the surge spreads reflexes in different sectors of the Brazilian economy, since it makes the transport of cargo and passengers more expensive.
The situation has generated a wave of criticism from truck drivers of the government and Petrobras. Part of the category even organized strikes last year, but the strikes did not take shape.
