In this second show with Mars Portosalte, Vassilis Koutsavlis, president of the “Tattoo Friends” Association, continues his radio tour of the newly established capital, through the look of the royal couple.

The installation of Otto and Amalia in the palaces, the appearance of the first Christmas tree, the interventions in urban planning and the creation of the National Garden, sketch a city trying to gain a European identity.

Amalia leaves a strong imprint in the public space: the royal walks and the Vasilissis Tower, each move, reflects a personal vision of modernization. But behind the image of the active queen, loneliness, the harsh pressure for successor and the weight of the expectations of a society that saw it much more than an institutional role is revealed.
