The number of requests for authorization to import cannabidiol for personal use in Brazil almost tripled in 2021, according to a bulletin released by Anvisa (National Health Surveillance Agency) this Thursday (7).
There were 38,251 requests, 189% more than in the previous year. The regulatory agency claims that more than 90% have been met.
Brazilians over 61 years old accounted for about 31% of total cannabidiol users. More than 25% of the requests were for young people and adults, between 21 and 40 years old.
