Find out how much you will receive from FGTS

Workers with a balance in the FGTS account (Fundo de Garantia do Tempo de Serviço) can now consult, on the website www.fgts.caixa.gov.br and on the FGTS application, how much they will receive in the extraordinary withdrawal of up to R$ 1,000, which will be released by Caixa Econômica Federal in 2022.

It is also possible to know the date of deposit and how the deposit of the amounts will be. The worker who already has the FGTS app must update it to access the information. Those who have not yet had the app can download it from the App Store or Google Play Store. In this case, it will be necessary to create an access password, informing the CPF and following the steps requested by the program.

1. Access the website www.fgts.caixa.gov.br
2. On the home page, go to “Extraordinary FGTS withdrawal”, on the left; then click on “See Here”
3. Enter CPF or PIS number
4. Click “I’m not a robot” and click “Continue”
5. The system will ask to click on images; identify them and go to “Verify”
6. You will need to enter your internet password and click on “Continue”; if you don’t have or don’t remember, go to “Register or forgot password?”
7. Enter your mobile number and say if you want to receive SMS messages
8. The last step will show you how you will receive the amounts, the total released and the deposit date

Who is entitled and how to withdraw?

The worker with a balance in the fund account is entitled to the extraordinary FGTS. If the holder has more than one Guarantee Fund account, the withdrawal takes place as follows: first, money is withdrawn from accounts related to extinct employment contracts, starting with the account with the lowest balance; then the values ​​of the other linked accounts will be withdrawn.

The blocked money will not be available for withdrawal, as in the case of those who opted for the FGTS birthday withdrawal. In all, R$ 30 billion will be released to around 42 million workers between April 20 and June 15. Payment is made according to the citizen’s birthday month.

In the app, workers with the right to withdraw will have more functionality than on the website. It will be possible:

• Consult the amount to be credited
• Consult the credit date in the digital social savings
• Inform that you do not want to receive credit for the amount
• Request the return of the amount credited to the FGTS account
• Make the registration change to create the savings account

On the website, functions are limited. The worker can only check if he is entitled to withdraw up to R$ 1,000 and know the credit date, according to the payment schedule. See what you can do on the site:

Payment of the Guarantee Fund will be made by Caixa Tem

The FGTS money will be deposited in a savings account opened by Caixa at Caixa Tem. In the app, it is possible to receive and transfer money, pay slips, make purchases and make transfers through Pix. It will also be possible to withdraw money from ATMs and lottery agencies. In this case, the worker must generate a password.

According to Caixa, whoever returns the money after crediting and does not want to continue with digital social savings can close it in the Caixa Tem app, in the “Adjustments or Settings” option (on some cell phones, the gear symbol appears). At the end of the screen, just click on the “Close my account” button. The termination request will be processed within 30 days.

How to return values?

Those who do not want to receive the FGTS have until November 10 to undo the credit operation in the FGTS application. If the money has been deposited and there is no movement of the amounts until December 15, the funds return to the Guarantee Fund account, corrected.
