Following the meeting held today under the Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis for hydrocarbon explorationsEnergean points out that the most modern technology in the area will be applied for the execution of the drilling, while the strictest standards governing the European and Greek legislation in the field of environmental protection will be followed, as well as in relation to informing the local community.
“The seismic survey that was conducted in an exemplary manner in a total of six municipalities Epirus in 2019 gave positive signs to locate a deposit in prefecture of Ioanninawhich of course will have to be confirmed by the research drilling “, the company adds.
At the same time, the Energean preparing for the conduct seismic survey at the Block2 offshore concessionnorthwest of Corfu, which is scheduled to take place by the end of the year.
“This will be the fourth seismic survey in the sea area of ​​Greece that the company will carry out from 2009 onwards and the exemplary execution of the previous surveys is a guarantee that this new operation will be carried out without any environmental problem or any disturbing any other activity in the area “, he emphasizes.

Prinos has been producing oil and gas for 41 years now without burdening the area in perfect harmony with the local tourism industry, fisheries and the local communities as a whole.
We have to find what the Greek subsoil has, we are committed to do the necessary research and drilling, while it is important that the companies that are active, have the know-how and the competence to perform such projects. Energean currently drills 5 in the deep waters of Israel, which is the largest drilling project in the Eastern Mediterranean.
We are investing a total of 3 billion euros in the wider region and obviously it is our priority to develop every possibility that our country has to acquire its own natural gas.
