In a statement distributed to employees, the president of ITA (Itapemirim Transportes Aéreos), Adalberto Bogsan, stated that the company was sold to Baufaker Consulting.

The airline, belonging to the Itapemirim Group, stopped flying at the end of 2021 after six months of operation. The value of the deal was not disclosed.

“After completing the deal, the new shareholder concentrates efforts on capitalizing the company, on the reorganization and maintenance of the group of employees and executives”, says the text signed by Bogsan.

The agreement includes the acquisition and maintenance of the lease of five A320CEO aircraft, resumption of meetings with Anac (National Civil Aviation Agency) and negotiations with creditors for the payment of debts, such as salaries, leases, airport fees, reimbursement of passengers and others. .

In December last year, on Christmas Eve, consumers were surprised by the suspension of ITA flights, which claimed the need to make “operational adjustments”. Since then, the company has not operated. In early January, Anac (National Civil Aviation Agency) prohibited ITA from selling airline tickets again until the company demonstrates that it has fulfilled all corrective actions for those affected by the suspension of its activities, such as re-accommodation and full reimbursement of the air ticket.
