According to an announcement by EFKA “on Holy Wednesday, April 20, 2022 will be credited to the accounts of 634,000 low-income retirees the special Easter financial aid amounting to 200 euros.
Beneficiaries are retirees with a maximum annual individual taxable income up to 7,200 euros (600 euros per month) and annual family taxable income up to 14,400 euros.
Specifically will be paid to those in March 2022 they receive:
- permanent or temporary main pension or advance payment of main pension due to old age, disability or death,
- pre-retirement benefit,
- disability benefits paid by the electronic national social security body (e-EFKA),
- pension benefits of par. 3 of article 4 of law 4387/2016 (AD 85).
Retirees (beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries) of the emergency financial assistance will have the possibility of personalized information through a special platform which will be put into operation on the e-EFKA website (www.efka.gov.gr) in the option: “electronic services” for “retirees”, on the day of payment. The title of the service is: Checking the right to emergency financial support Easter 2022.
Users will enter the system using taxis codes and will be able to see on the screen in real time the reason for rejection (after an audit carried out by AADE).
The reasons for rejection are the following:
1. Your personal income is greater than 7,200 €
2. The total family income is greater than € 14,400
3. You are a Resident Abroad
4. The value of real estate is greater than € 200,000
5. Ο VAT number may belong to the deceased. Contact EFKA
6. No cleared statement was found until 31/03/2022 for the TIN
May pensions

Salaries of civil servants and security forces
Earlier, and specifically in the afternoon Holy Thursday, April 21will take place and the payment of the salaries of civil servants of the Central Administration and the Security Forces.
According to a relevant announcement, “The Ministry of Finance, with social sensitivity and taking into account the increased needs of the population in view of Easter, after coordinated actions of the General Accountant, the Single Payment Authority and the DIAS Interbank Systems, plans the payment of the salaries of the employees of of the Security Forces on the afternoon of Maundy Thursday, April 21, 2022, as opposed to Tuesday, April 26, which was scheduled».
The amounts are expected to appear in the accounts of the beneficiaries until the night of Maundy Thursday, depending on the Banking Institution used by each beneficiary.
